> Finishing and properly testing all system code/logic (menus, load/save, checkpoints, load screens, time/day prompts, etc.) > Maybe add a playable prologue so you have more time to, you know, PLAY the game before all the dialogue, right now I think it starts a bit too exposition heavy, but who knows yet. > Finalizing screen effects (some missing particle effects, camera shakes, etc.) > Finalizing texts and dialogues and send them for translation and (maybe) voice recording. > Adding and finalizing all sounds and music. > Finalizing any sprite/backgrounds missing (some colors were exported wrong, I noticed a missing ponytail at one point, (maybe) add some in between frames so some animations don’t look too choppy, etc.) > Adding 3 or 4 scenes/events that I skipped and left for later, now is later. I just finished what I called the “first polish pass” and it took a while, probably close to 2 years alone on that, since that’s basically the main bulk of the game, replacing placeholders, final timing of events, etc, so what follow is the “final polish pass” I guess. It’s been close to a year since the last post!!? I seriously hate this, I didn’t think it was that long, FACK!!
